Course Overview

Applications for all short courses are now closed.
We’ll be bringing them back (and more new courses!) in autumn 2022, stay tuned!

Until recently, hip-hop and rap was a hugely under-represented genre in Scotland. This short course provides students with the opportunity to explore creating songs, lyrics and exploring various production methods around beat making.

In addition, it also covers all the essentials and is a great starting point for those seeking to develop their skills, build confidence and receive advice, guidance, and input from industry professionals (including, amongst others, award-winning Scottish Hip Hop artist Steg G).
