Study in the heart of the North East – Gateshead and Newcastle are famous for their electrifying nightlife and late-night cafes, and bustling and famously friendly local population is well-integrated into the student population. Enjoy a friendly and sociable atmosphere in a vibrant city with a great collection of intimate pubs, bars and clubs, located just South of the River Tyne.
Culture is integrated into every part of the city and can be seen interconnected with entertainment, from street performers through to public art, creating inspiration where ever you turn. With one of the most vibrant student cultures in the country, it is also home to some staple music venues such as The Cluny (Newcastle) and The Sage (Gateshead). The region is a first-class option for musical study.
Of course, coronavirus has sadly impacted many of our local venues and arts centres, but with several of them having recently received Arts Council England funding, we think Gateshead will be quick to get back on its feet.
Online learning: Since March we’ve swapped the studio for home, and come September we’re confident we’ll be in a great position to offer flexible, online learning to students if we need to. We’re also spreading out, finding new spaces for learning so that classrooms can be bigger and class sizes smaller. We were quick to adapt to the changes back in the Spring, and received some hugely positive feedback from our students.
“Group tutor sessions and live online performances have kept me feeling involved and uplifted during these crazy times”
